I actually mad a simple easily removable deck and now that I have fished from it twice! Now I feel it has made fishing more comfortable, although I now have thought some other stuff would had made it better yet. (Recessed trolling motor control) and a couple doors with some storage boxes...
My 16' V in the Bow, I am replacing the floor in the boat and was thinking of maybe raising this one up level with the first bench but am in between. What's been people experience positives and negatives of higher deck? I bass fish and also do quite a bit of crappie and pan fishing. Just curious...
I'd say anything around 3-500 is a good deal. Right now I'm debating adding a front deck, or maybe just a flat floor throughout not sure what direction I want to go

This is what I use as of now, I searched a good while and was looking for flat bottom and ran across this. It's a 16' semi V and at the top it's about 70" wide. Have a 15hp Johnson that moves it plenty fast and have added a front mount troller. Very stable all around tin! You can find good deals...
I've bought a bow mount foot control trolling motor. I have to Fab a piece to mount the motor. There's a bit of overhang on the front. From the more experienced ones how does the mounting of it look

I've got a compressor and I think I can get an air hammer for reasonable price and make one of the adapters for it work to drive rivets. I'm not sure what the length would be I'm waiting til fishing season is Dene before I tear into it lol

Ok what type of rivets would you suggest to reinstall the brace through the hull? I've seen closed end rivets but not sure if they would be strong enough. Is it very difficult to install the solid type rivet like they use to manufacture rivited boats?

I think I may end up just taking the brace completely out as you mentioned and then I will just use my cut off tool to remove the aluminum covering the board to make it easier. I think if I cut it off about an inch from the very top all the way across it will be ok. The previous owner had a 9.9...
I would normally just buzz the top off with a cutoff tool but this boat is all welded around the top corner brace and don't want to cut it,
