New Boat Project - 1852 Lowe

Picked up a Lowe 1852 this week. Went with another riveted boat because of the light weight.

Built a wood console and fiberglassed it. The mercury 40/30 jet pushes the boat 32 mph with just me and gear, 28 with two people loaded down. Pretty happy with it and the boat layout so far.

Installed some of the wiring, controls, trolling motor and new seats to get it on a test run.

Where did you get the hatch in the rear bench? Is it metal or plastic?

It’s an aluminum hatch off of an old tracker tx17 .
