For the seats what about building a stair step on that back wall you would set on the stair, then when it was time to fish it would make it easy to climb out

Ya it looks like a hole drilled through them, you could drill a hole in one side of the pvc rod holder and use a snake to get the bolt in the hole that way the rod holder does not have any obstructions running through the middle of it

I did this to a old Jon that had a leak, what the others said is true and it doesn't have to be that hot for it to get soft, but to avoid having to walk through it i put a simple floor in the boat so it covers it up its a pretty cheap and simple fix to get back out on the water
