I painted the rivits on my boat with it using a paint brush from my son's paint set. It went on fine.

A camo paint job can hide a multitude of sins.

That does sound like the easiest fix. My wife says that I should just put a wooden flap over it and use it like a gun port on a pirate ship. She's a keeper :wink:

Hey Patriot2. Thanks for the info. I like the way your boat looks. Do you get a lot of rain where you're at?

I used the blue board insulation. I liked it because its easy to cut and fit to the shape of the boat. The other board insulation probably is good for the same reasons. It has made the deck sturdier and more quiet.

I used 3/4 in exterior grade plywood and coated it with epoxy. I covered it with outdoor carpet and riveted the deck to the rails that support the deck.

I'm sure that there are lots of good web sites to order from. I ordered my aluminum rivets from McMaster-Carr.
