    2 cycle oil

Even in my neck of the woods, where every other vehicle is towing a boat, it's surprisingly difficult to get real TC-W3 Marine oil...You can buy 2 stroke oil for air-cooled equipment everywhere...My nearest Menard's only carries it in one brand in gallons while they have shelves of automotive...

    Trailer bunk covers

I'm going to look into this as well...My carpeting is pushed up in a bunch right where the transom sits so the boat rests on wood and makes it difficult to get the boat on and off... :(

    CD-12

Finally got her out on the water today...Found out that even at a temp of 60 it needs a lot of choke...Then later when I shut it down in gear and then forgot and tried to start it that way I did a whole lot of cranking for nothing... Also discovered that it likes to run one click rich on...

    CD-12

The mechanic I bought mine from says he gets everything here... https://www.timsoutboard.com/ I sure wish I had my grandfather's old motor but I dropped it in the lake many summers ago...It was a 1947 Firestone 3.6 hp...What memories I have of fishing with that outboard in the little 12' flat...

    CD-12

Yeah the guy I got it from, who only works on OMC motors from 2 to 25 hp and 1952 and up, said 24:1 is best...He said in the old days before the new 2 stroke oils were available it was recommended to use 16:1 with 30 weight oil...He also said some will use 50:1 but he would never try it...The...

    CD-12

Finally bought a boat...1974 Mirro Craft F/G tri-hull...It came with a 1969 Evinrude 9.5 which I traded for a 1955 Johnson 5 1/2 HP CD-12...Hoping this is a good motor, runs fine now...I'm told that every part is available from various sources...I wanted something old school and couldn't hack...

If you have a short handled rod...and want a longer rod.

Not to throw cold water on the idea of innovating fishing tackle but it doesn't seem to me you are going to end up with a great casting rod...I have a pile of old casting rods and pretty much universally they have offset handles...Sure you can make the handle long enough to use a two-handed grip...

    braided line?

My first year fishing here in Northern Wisconsin I had a Shakespeare spincast reel...That was 1958 and I can still remember the twisted and broken lines...To be fair it wasn't all the reel's fault...Since I already knew everything at the age of 10 I didn't bother trying to learn how to use it...

    Alumacrafts...F, FD, F7

Now I see there is an FD 15...That might be the best option as I need lots of room for my tackle boxes... #-o "So many lures, so little time"

    Alumacrafts...F, FD, F7

I'm in the market for an olde Alumacraft to chuck in some of the small, local lakes...We have 963 lakes in my NW Wisconsin County so there's a lot to choose from...I've looked at an FD but I haven't seen an F or F7 in the flesh yet...I will be doing ZERO modifications and want a clean...

How big was the pike/musky that tried to eat my bass ?

I caught a 16" bass that had 3" wide bite marks on both sides of it's aft section. We have northern pike in my small lake and maybe muskies. There must be some way to estimate the size of the biter but I can't find anything online about it. Any experts on bite marks here ?
