How many of you use your aluminum boat in salt water? I fish mainly fresh water but have the urge to hit the salt again. I hear people talking about corrision problems. I have a 2009 G3 Outfitter 170. All comments and info appreciated.
What you are doing isn't hard just time consuming and requires thought. I decked out three tin boats over the years and though there were mistakes made, corrected and learned from, I enjoyed every minute. I'm considering doing another one. I consider it stress relief.
I've spent many a nights in pop ups. I've had 2. The first one was a basic with 2 beds and a tbale in the middle and the next one had it all excep the pot. Loved them both and had good times.
My boat is a kind of tan colored G3. One guy suggested some of the coating they put on aluminum porch roofs. I'll keep on with my research and let you know what I find out.
I'm looking for something I can use to paint or coat my top rail and console to keep it from being so hot in the summer. Suggestions would be appreciated.
