    Anyone in Evansville, IN area?

If anyone in is in the Evansville, Indiana area, and would be willing to do a (relatively) small favor, please let me know. It has to do with picking up a camera tripod and shipping it. Everything is paid for, and I'd throw a couple of bucks your way for the assistance.

    Removing Decal Adhesive

+1 on the heat gun. $10 from harbor freight, and you'll find other uses for it. Goo Gone or Goof Off would be the next in line.

    DIY anchor winch?

The trailer winch would work. If you're in a saltwater environment, be prepared to replace it frequently. The only problem I see is rode capacity. If you're using rope as your rode, doubt you'll be able to get much on there. Maybe use it as a capstan with rope. Steel cable will give you a...

    Quitting smoking... again.

Was just talking to a guy about quitting smoking. He did it by eating one of those Atomic Red Hot candies everytime he got the desire. He would suck on it until he couldn't anymore, and that took his mind off the craving. He said after a couple of weeks, he was done. Even though it's an...

    seafoam?

Be carful if you pour the whole can into the 6gals. Yes, it'll break free all the built-up gunk, but that gunk has to go somewhere. I just did that a couple of weeks ago, and it made it worse. Some gunk ended up clogging up my carbs about 2 mins into the run. Made for a not so good day on the water.

Gear at a discount - UPDATE!!!

I own the Rugged Shark Atlantic shoes. I really like them. I'm sad cuz the best price I could find when I was in the market was $80. I'm patiently awaiting tomorrow's Sebile sale, those are $40-$60 lures!

1973 Evinrude dies out when in slow throttle or shift....

Sounds like your low speed needle/jet in your carb is clogged or dirty. Might try to run some seafoam through her for a tank ot two, but you'll most likely need to clean and rebuild the carb.

    Fishfinder for Blazer Jet

I'd recommend going with a color display. Much easier to read. I hae a HB 383c that I've had for a few years, use it on my big boat in the Gulf and the intercoastal, and it's served me well. There are 2 right now on ebay, both under $300.

    Flooded outboard?

See, I should read a little better, didn't see he was in reverse and at near idle speed. Question is, going in reverse I think would had a greatly likelihood of damage, since the prop/prop shaft would be forced into the gearing, rather than pushed out away from them. I'm probably scaring the...

    Flooded outboard?

First start by seeing if the prop will spin with the motor off and in gear. It shouldn't move more than 1/2" or so, and then it should lock. If it spins, you've sheared your shear pin, and it did it's job. If that's the case, remove the prop, and replace the shear pin and go fishing...
