    Nice Muskie

Hey Salmon Slayer, Try using large spinner baits, because of the weeds.....say about 6"+......? Also anything that makes noise... :!: Rick

    Nice Muskie

Don't think size on Scugog matters much...probably more the vibrations and flash of bright color. Friend of mine Steve Wickens guides for Muskie on Scugog and he uses mainly a large (8"-10") Red, Chartrucse or orange spinner bait with a Colorado and a Hatchet Blade real short and tight to the...

Same thing for me  The closest Muskie Waters are 150 km.(90 miles) away from my home in Kitchener and my favourite fishing #-o is almost 400 km. (240 miles) up at my cabin on the French River. Therefore my LUND stays up north most of the time. My Toyota Tundra 4x4 really sucks back the...

    Nice Muskie

In the Kawartha's no, they don't like big baits....late fall you can go a little bigger. [-X But up north....G Bay-French-Nipissing Etc. then Big Baits Rule for Big Fish !    Early season I start out smaller and the Bait size grows as the season progresses...

    Nice Muskie

Hey Salmon Slayer, In my early 20's I lived in Port Perry (30yrs. ago  ) Certainly are high numbers in Scugog for sure. Just don't like cleaning weeds off the baits continually. I've fished the other Kawartha Lakes more than Scugog (Buckhorn, Pigeon, Stoney Etc.) . My favourite waters now...

    Muskie Techniques & Lures

When casting I like to use the "figure 8" on almost every cast. I at least use an "L" when I get to the boat. Muskie will follow a bait to the boat sometimes but won't strike until there is a change in direction of the bait. It's a unbeleivable thrill to have a strike with only a foot of line...
