I don't see the power wires coming out of your trolling motor pedal. Are they directly underneath, running under the deck?

Sure is. When I do my carpet next year I plan on putting some 1/4' plywood down on top of it. The way it is now you can easily lose hooks and sinkers in the gaps around the edges of the floor. I already lost a wing nut to this in the bilge area.

I bit the bullet and bought a brand new boat a few weeks ago. There was just a couple of things that had to be done before I could fish from it. I had to have the trolling motor mounted, and had to have a place to put a pedestal seat. I only have this one picture but it pretty much reveals...

In my opinion, the existing deck isn't big enough to mount the seat base. I have the same boat and build a 17" deck extension. I mounted the base a few inches back from the end of the factory deck.

I've thought about throwing something together with a few empty 2 liter bottles. But I'm not concerned with how it looks, just the functionality.

The problem with blacklights is that you need to use fluorescent line before it'll glow. It looks cool, but it's not necessary if you're holding the rod. For catfishing it's probably nice since you can set a couple poles out and sit back and watch your lines. But for bass fishing I wasn't...

I used to load one in a truck bed and I'll never go back to that. Way more trouble than just trailering it around. With a trailer I can load and unload alone in just a couple minutes. I fish at least once a week though, for occasional trips it wouldn't be a big deal. Btw, I'm from WV too...
