I have been looking at the grizzly 1756 & 1860 jon boats. my son is having a fit about me selling the 1648 alumicraft. Not welded. It has a center seat that I hate. How difficult is it to remove the center seat and install an aluminum floor. :| :|

The price difference between a 1756 and a 1860 Grizly is only 200 . Not a problem. As for a bigger motor I do not need speed on the water. A 40 hp or a 50hp would be fast enough. I will go with one or the other just have not pulled the trigger yet.

Thanks for the input mike. I did some research and your right . Cheaper to sell the 25 merc and but one with a 20 inch lower unit. Doug O

I have a 25 hp Merc . The lower unit is a 15 inch. The new boat I want to buy and all most all new boats have a 20 inch transom . Can I have a 20 inch lower unit installed on this engine? Also what about cost. Thanks Doug O

Yes you are right the bass Pro web sight is wrong. I went and looked at the boat and the capacity plate read a 60 hp , there is a conflict with the Grizzly 1760 also. I'm also considering the 1760 with a 40 hp merc on it. Thanks for the responses . I will be looking for more of them. Doug O
