    65 evinrude 6hp eom prop

Needing a eom prop for my 65 evinrude 6 hp

    65 ev 6hp

The boat it's self is very heavy, takes all I got to pick up the back of it without a motor. Not sure the make of the boat but it's 14ft with 3 benches not including the on attached to the bow. The reinforcing ribs are spaced about half the distance normal boats are. Extremely heavy duty...

Here are pictures to as where the motor sits. I have it trimmed all the way down to try and help get the nose down. Since I obviously have not tore anything up I believe the answer is just to go a little slower. But I was all excited about breaking the 10mph barrier. Lol

After some research I do not have a hub to spin. Lol. But I have noticed this, my motor does not have the power to plane out my boat unless I have the battery and fuel tank up front to balance it out and the water is glass smooth. So when the boat does get pretty close to planing out I can hear...

    65 ev 6hp

Basically I was running pretty close to full throttle and the motor kinda kicked up and started revving and the boat started slowing down, I backed off the throttle and it was running fine, I throttle up a little and it started doing it again. I was looking back when it happened this time, motor...

Was out yesterday and the motor just took off revving and boat slowed down. Did that a couple times but as long as rpms were low i limped it back in. I was thinking gears, bushings or spun prop. When i removed prop there was a wad of line wrapped around shaft. Hoping thats what it was causing it.

Please someone tell me that the bolts that hold the propeller housing own are not right-handed threads before I tear something up. Done everything in the world to get him to break loose and they want I guess I hammers next

    Keeping carb clean

    Got it. Thanks all.

    Keeping carb clean

So I think I am gonna get the manufacturers version. Should I go right thru the throat of the carb or mix in the fuel is what I am not sure which way to go. . If I mix in the fuel I need to troll around the lake until I go thru the gallon of fuel I guess. With a 6 hp that will take a while. If...

    Keeping carb clean

For some reason I don't trust sea foam. Guess it's the foam part that worries me lol. Is there a certain type for a two stroke or what? Is it just a generic can you get and use for everything?

    Keeping carb clean

I am gonna rebuild my carb this winter and basically do a overhaul. What would be the best practice to keep a carb clean year round? I'm thinking a fuel stabilizer, draining the fuel bowl if I'm not gonna be using the boat for more than a few days and I have read somewhere about another...

How long can a fuel line be?

There is about a 2" hole in each compartment that I was gonna run the line through. That boat is so heavy and then I add me, the fuel tank and battery to the back it struggle for any speed. But then again I am not skiing. Lol

How long can a fuel line be?

Yeah I was hoping it would be fine, just replaced the lines and bulb. Just have too much crap back there with me, need some room. Thanks

How long can a fuel line be?

It's a big ole mighty 6 hp with a 3/8 line. I help it along by paddling, only when I'm going uphill though. Lol
