In my opinion you don't have it on all the way. I chipped the skeg on the lower unit of my runabout, and bought something similar to what you have. I had to pound it all the way on, but it fit, all the way up, and almost looks factory. I would try some light persuasion with a hammer. my $.02

I have the Lowrance X4 Pro-----------not sure of the difference...I've been using it for 2-3 months now, with no complaints, seems to have good picture, seems to work fine.

I am looking for a cover for my 14ft Lowe Mod-v. I was thinking on buying one of the jon boat cover available at the store, but thne realized those are made for a straight bow, and not a Mod-v......................So is the a commercially available cover available, or what is everyone using...

The motor runs great!........it looks like the carmel like substance is old.......i'll have to run it some more, to determine if it is still leaking.

So where exactly is the base gasket??..........is that the "base" gasket on the exhaust, just like it sounds??...........is it anything to worry about?

First off..........Is it normal for a little fuel to squirt out the side of the carb, when pushing the choke in and out?? I'm not sure if that will make sense??......When you press the choke in, it presses a plunger down on the carb. There is a small hole, on the outside of the part of the carb...

Where is everyone buying their hatches and storage compartment lids? I've looked online, and haven't had much luck.

Where is a good place to mount one in the front? My boat is a Lowe 1448 Mod V..........On the bow rails? or where are people mounting them?? And how? I dont thing a screw into the rail will hold??? Pics would really help! thanks!

First off I have to say this place is awesome, I've learned tons so far as my adventure into the tin boat world begins. So i noticed today there are no anchor cleats on my boat. I've seen a few pics here and the back corners look like a good place to mount a cleat............what about up front??

I know you guys/gals that have made decks, and storage compartments, have places to store your rods..........But how are the rest of you doing it?? i have a 1986 1448 Lowe. I don't plan to remove any benches, or do any decking at this time. Whats the best way to store rods?? I am not a huge fan...

Lets see how good you are at propeller I.D...........The motor is a 1990 15hp Mercury tiller. The only numbers on the prop are this A12L105p. I just bought this motor, and am trying to figure everything out! Thanks
