I've been looking for a cheap motor for my tin boat. I found one for $150 but I don't know anything about motors. It's only a 5hp so I'd sell it once I can afford a 25hp motor for my 14' tin boat. It runs but I don't know anything else about it. What should I ask him before I buy it?

I need to buy new square U-bolts for my winch post. The tongue is 2x3 square tubing and the winch posts mounting plate is 1/8" thick. I'm thinking I should get a 2 1/16" x 3 3/4" square U-bolt. But stainless or galvanized?
