Looking to mount pin type base in my floor. Most of them I have looked at say they require 2.75 in. clearance underneath. By my measurements I might get 2.5. Does anyone know of any brand that would be compatible with this without shimming some how. Thanks.

Don't have a tach, motor is a tiller, how hard is it to hook one up. Have heard people mention tiny tachs, do they just plug in.
