Well I found my leak so I figured I'd update this post in case anyone has this problem and finds this in their search for answers. I put a drain plug in the live well drain for the back bait well and live well. Left it over night didn't leak a drop of water. So I plugged the drain hole for the...
This is no b.s. One day I come back to the single lane boat launch there is a guy and I guess his wife a old lady about 5 kids running around some kids in a play pen two strollers and the adults were sitting in lawn chairs. So I beach my boat cause no one would move, back my truck down the ramp...
I'm replacing my thru-hull fittings and aerators on my bass tracker pro crappie. The factory fittings had rubber washers on the nut side and nothing on the other side. So should I use a sealant on the side that doesn't have a rubber washer?
While I already have everything apart I've decided to replace all thru hull fittings and the 2 aerators that go through the hull since they are 7 years old. I just hope it's not one of the lines under the decking.
So yesterday I go out at first it didn't seem like I was getting much water in the boat kept my eyes on all the hoses and fittings in the bilge area but didn't see any water coming in. Then I started fishing from the rear of the boat went to check and noticed I was getting a lot of water. Today...
Does it mean anything if I've never turned the live wells on? This is the first boat I've had with all that stuff on it. And I don't know anyone with a boat that I can ask these things. But I'm gonna take it out now and watch all the fittings and stuff and either sink or find the leak.
I bought a used Bass Tracker Pro Crappie 175 first time I had it out for about 3 hours noticed there was a good bit of water in the bilge area. Yesterday I took it out and after about 6 hours I turned around and there was a good bit of water in the back area behind the seats. So after ruining a...
Oh yeah and I have another question that I thought about in about page 10 off this build. Were you able to weld the flotation pods on with the wood being in side the transom. If someone was going to add those to a new boat would they have to remove the wood from the transom before welding them on?
First boat I bought 2 years ago was a 1436 took it out a few times and 2 months later I bought a 1648. The 1436 felt like if each person leaned the same way you would both be swimming. Now the 1648 I can crawl all over every corner and never feel unstable but now it seems like once I load it...
I know what you mean a hell of a lot of work for a trailer to match. But I didn't mean to take anything away from your project. The whole time looking through it I kept thinking this man should do this for a living. If you do this good just as a hobby imagine what you could do with all the time...
Slim to none in Western P.A. I've been looking to get a bigger boat but their just aren't many around and the price tag on some new ones are close to a new pickup.
