I ran my 6hp merc in a barrel today. After running it I noticed a brown oil coming from the middle of the prop. It does exhaust thru the prop. Is this just residue from the exhaust or is the gear lube leaking somewhere and it is running out the prop?

It is the power pack thats bad. Both cylinders compression check at about 85 psi. Should I even bother putting any money into it?

My boat does the same thing. I leave it like that. That way the front of the boat doesn't go anywhere when you secure the rear of the boat, it can't roll up and over the top. Pretty solid that way. You don't really need a bow tie down with that.
