As promised, here's some pics. The motor was made in Peterborough, Canada. I wasn't able to get it running; when I tried priming fuel was spraying from between the fuel line connector and receptacle on the motor. Not sure if it's wear or they are not compatible...

Those are some messy looking coils. I got it to tinker and learn more than anything. If it turns out to need nothing more than some maintenance items, so much the better.

Here's an updated pic of the Springbok with the new motor on it. Plans for after the season are to replace the transom wood, then clean and paint the interior.

In the interests of simplified logistics, a cleaner lake, less smoke and the advancement of quiet weekends at the cottage, our Springbok will now be powered by a slightly used Mercury 9.9 4-stroke. Getting the introduction to it in the test tank at the dealer, I gotta say I'm impressed with it...

Looks like the E-Replacement Parts is the best bet. The others either can't/don't have it or don't ship to Canada.

G'day, I'm looking for a spare spool for my Orra S30 spinning reel, the part number on the list that came with it is 1252772. Anyone know of a place that might actually have one? Thanks.

So, I ended up converting from a 7 pin to a 4 pin, with the help of a circuit tester and some other electrical odds and sods. The 7 pin receptacle was rusted right out, no wonder it didn't work. I didn't remove all the extra wiring, it's still there to convert it back. Thanks for the feedback.

I have a pair of Shimano Calcutta 101B's on the way; can't wait to use them.
