I use to have that Anchor pulley, but they are kind of on the cheap side and will eventually rust. I now have these anchor pulleys on the bow and stern in opposite corners of each other. I use 15lb navy anchors with 25' of 3/8" anchor rope. This is all on a Lowe 1232 jon. Sorry no pics right...

I have a long shaft minn kota that I use on my 12' jon. It gets quite uncomfortable steering it with the shaft being that long. Have any of you ever taken apart a troller like this and cut it down? What is the standard length of short and long shaft minn kotas?

I found a gun similar to the big daddy (with the long handles) at northerntool.com that will do 3/16" rivets for 20 bucks. That is why I asked. If anyone else knows where I can get the same one they had at harborfreight please let me know.

Ouch! 38 bucks to set a dozen rivets! Do you think I could get by with 3/16" rivets in stainless steel (instead of aluminum)? Maybe drill some extra holes for more holding power? These seats are getting really expensive!
