    My Big Sweeeeeeety

I am very sorry for you and your family. I have had many dogs over the years and know how they become part of the family and less just a dog.

Live well "In" pump will not prime

This may sound stupid, it did to me until it worked. I have a 2011 Triton 19XS and both aerator pumps had a very hard time priming. I called Triton boats and they told me to make sure the hose that feeds the livewells is facing to one side of the boat or the other, basically parallel to the...

    A long weekend

I got quite a bit done on my Tracker V-17 this weekend. I got all the interior pulled out of the boat, all the carpet removed from the aluminum lids and all new wood cut and coated with spar urethane. Now it's time to carpet all the pieces. It will be this weekend before I get the carpet...

    1989 Force 50hp Power Tilt/Trim Issue

If it leaks when you push it down most likely the trim cylinder is bad and at least needs resealed.

Merc vs Tohatsu vs Yammy vs Honda

I've owned outboards for 25 years and in the smaller class outboards they are all decent. You shouldn't have a problem with any of them. In the bigger horsepower I only buy Yamaha. After blowing up 2 optimax 200 hp engines I gave up on Mercury. I would look at parts availability in your...

1989 Johnson- Major Problems Help Please!

Pappy speaks the truth. As for the overheat, I would start with a thermostat. Cleaning it will do no good, it needs to be replaced. You can put it in boiling water and see i it opens but for no more than they cost I would just replace it.

    Marine plywood

I'm not really modifying the boat it came out factory with all the decking. The compartment lids are all aluminum and the floor and decks are 3/4" plywood. I bought the boat from a buddy that let it sit outside and go to heck. So I am just going to put it back the way it is. I assume carpet...

    Marine plywood

Hi guys I'm new here and have a question. I just bought a Tracker tournament v-17 that needs the wood and carpet replaced. I understand you cannot use treated wood so do you use the marine plywood? Do you order online or try to order it from a local dealer? Thanks in advance. Shane
