    Boat Build Motor Suggestions

That’s exactly my thinking. I’m fairly familiar with props and pitch even though I’m a jet boat guy currently. I definitely feel like I can get more motor for the money if I go with a 30 vs a 40. In a long shaft tiller they seem more common as well.

    Boat Build Motor Suggestions

I’m in the process of converting a 1988 bass tracker tx-17 to a duck boat. It is going to simply have an aluminum floor, small front deck and small rear seats (all aluminum) set up for a tiller. I have a center console jet boat for fishing, so this will be solely used for duck hunting and the...

    Waterlogged foam - welded boat

This looks like my best bet for sheets if I go that route. https://www.usafoam.com/closedcellfoam/polyethylene.html

    Waterlogged foam - welded boat

THe more I research it, I think the two part foam is the way to go. How do you keep it from going everywhere when you pour it?

    Waterlogged foam - welded boat

That’s exactly my plan, except I may come in from the side. What foam did you use?

    Waterlogged foam - welded boat

I really did leave out some essential info! Boat is a 2003 g3 1756 cc dlx. The foam I’m really concerned about is the foam under the rear deck. I’m thinking I can cut the aluminum on the side and basically make an access panel to get in it there, seal it with silicone. The one picture shows...

    Waterlogged foam - welded boat

Question.. I’m fairly certain my boat’s foam is waterlogged, specifically under the rear deck. The deck is welded into the boat, so what are my options to rectify?

What is the shallowest running jet boat?

You're going to really like the G3 1860. My cousin had one until someone rearended him towing it to the river. Even after getting rear-ended, not a single weld cracked on the boat. I'd definitely suggest the 115/80. I have a 90/65 on my 17' g3 CC. I will agree about the cavitation, but I've...

    Not a rookie anymore!

If you do some searching on the web you'll find info about using bigger washers to prevent it from happening.. I've heard stories of guys bumping the boots on rocks, not while moving fast at all, and ripping them off.
