    Opinions on "bedliner"

I got the fine texture Grizzly Grip and it doesn't have a lot of texture. It's fine on bare feet. If you want something more non skid I would go with the coarse.

    Opinions on "bedliner"

Grizzly Grip. It's available in a lot of different colors as well as a course or fine grit. I used the fine and have been very happy with it. It's held up real well for three seasons of crabbing and fishing so far.

    Anyone make their own rods?

    Anyone make their own rods?

The best source of online rodbuilding info can be found at https://rodbuilding.org/list.php?2 You don't have to have a drying motor. I did not have one for many years. You can simply hand turn your rod a 1/2 turn when the finish starts to sag. You will need to turn it every few minutes at...

    Is it just my wife?

My wife wasn't too happy about this spring when I was working on it but now that it's done and she's been out crabbing a few times she's changed her mind and decided it was money well spent.

    Busted rod

Broken rods can almost always be repaired and if done right there will be very little change in the action. Here's a link to an article that explains in detail how to go about repairing a rod. https://www.rodbuilding.org/library/repair-oquinn.html
