I used 1/2 MDO sealed with a couple coats of spar. Good luck with your project!

13ft Duranautic in the salt......

Nice little boat! Take it easy in the rough seas! My buddy had the 14' version of your boat with a yamaha 15 on it and he busted the hull chasing bonito in some serious chop! I think he snapped 2 or 3 of the keelsons in half. Just a word of caution, have fun out there!

Which kind if anchor for 14ft?

I use a small danforth anchor with a couple feet of chain, I also carry an extra 100' of rope just in case. if you have enough scope any quality anchor should hold.

Painting Floatation Foam

I put a couple coats of latex on a piece of blue foam because it is next to a fuel tank and I wanted to protect it in case of any incidental contact. It seems to be holding up just fine so far.

Last tube I got fit in a standard caulking gun. I also kept it viable for several months you covering tip with plastic or tape and storing in the freezer. Freezer drastically increases drying time and it will keep for quite a while. BTW freezing also works great for aquaseal(for repairing leaky wade...

Sealing aluminum boat hull without flipping??

Gluvit is designed to be used on the inside of the hull to seal leaks so if you can get to the inside of the hull you can use it. Not sure of a leak sealing product that can go on the outside upside down. I have seen some paint/coatings to make the bottom slick that you can put on upside down(gator ...

How to make this floor flat?

If I was doing it I think I would run a support down the middle length wise to make it level with the height of the sides. If you take a look at some starcraft mod threads you will see what I mean. Just my 2 cents, good luck and post lots of pics.

You can find tinned marine wire online way way cheaper than west marine! Check out the "Materials for your conversion" link to find some suggestions.

Nice looking hull, I look forward to watching the progress. For the decks I would use 1/2" or 5/8", 3/4" is overkill IMO.
