TM too tall?

Mine was too tall like that so I took it apart and cut it down to the height I liked. I sit at the bench seat height so the taller height wouldn't work for me it was at my face.

Its not hard to change them either about 20 min and a bench vise or if you have access to a shop press or arbor press its even easier. S...

home made power poles

I am actually in the process of making a power pole for my 195 tracker. I'm using 3" channel aluminum, 3/4" fiberglass rod, 225 lb 12v actuator, HDPE for the pivot brackets, and a wireless remote receiver. I can post my progress if anyone would be interested. I would like to see it. You could even ...

Basic Tips for a New Outboard Owner?

I second the no ethanol gas. Which is usually a higher octane than 87 which is better for small engines

Metal compatability for hinges?

paper mills produce tons of sulfuric acid rain in a 1 mile radius. especially bad on mornings with heavy fog. you can not fully understand the damage a paper mill can do unless you have lived near one. The upper management at a paper mill have covered parking areas..... general employees park outsi...

Metal compatability for hinges?

you have done an AWESOME job on your build so far !! not to give you a yes or no to your question: but, many of us use stainless fasteners with aluminum parts with little to no ill effects. If you are in a total salt water environment, you may see more incompatability than someone in the middle sta...

Trailer leaf spring location

Did you wind up doing this? I did this on a previous boat, helped quite a bit. It has been rather cold here and I don't have a garage. So I haven't had the chance to do it. The one day it was warm enough I couldn't resist the urge to go fishing. [emoji4] But once it's war.s up I will be doing this....

That prop is way too small for your boat you should go up 1 or 2 in pitch this is what I had to do on my boat it's a 14ft jon boat v bow my original prop was 9x9 I went up to a 9.25x11 it made quite the difference my motor does sound like it ready to come apart any more. My motor is a 1973 Johnson 2...

Fisher Marine question

I am going to look at this boat on Saturday all I know is it's made by Fisher marine it has all aluminum floors front and rear live well. Its 16ft with a 40hp mercury it's a early 1980s boat and motor. The motor ran last spring but hasn't been started yet. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170216/1...
