My concern is getting back in the boat should I fall overboard. So want to make switch on rear like on bigger motors, can mount to boat or...

floor post mount

My 1648 has a floor post mount that the rubber bushing is shot which allows the seat post to wobble. Is there a way to repair versus replace? I have been wrapping the set post with electrical tape which lasts a few hours then it wobbles again Thanks.

Jackplate adjustment

I am going to take the skeg and the jackplate off. It does not have power trim and I'm too old to be trying to pull it up on lock to travel on the toter. If I had it to do all over again I would have sold the motor and bought a 25 hp in the first place. Thanks for the advice though Gentlemen

horizontal rod racks

Would like some ideas on home made racks for both sides of my Lowe 1648. I usually carry 6 rods and my buddy does also. I am tired of buying the Berkeley kind, the foam does not last. open to ideas thanks.

lowe 1710 Backtroller Leaks

Anyone know of an easy way to find a boat leak in about 4 hours fishing 4-5 gallons water. The bilge pump takes care of it but would like to fix if I can find it.

Upgrade trolling motor

To each his own, I have 4 -12volt batteries a 76 lb in the back locked forward with a button up front for on/off and a 65 lb foot controlled in the front on a 15' aluminum with a 25 hp johnson long shaft electric start, two depth finders. Braided on Spinning reel?

Chris, be sure and check the eyes on your rods. Sometimes the braid will chew thru the eyes on a less expensive rod. And never never never try and pull a snag out with barehand . voice of experience on both lol
