Missouri tin-boaters!!!!!!!

I live in Washington. Spend most of my time on the Missouri River between Hermann and St Charles. Do get to the lakes once in a while. Just was at Truman last weekend and will be going to Table Rock in October. Occasional LOZ But not in my boat.

Mine is called "SS Harold" in honor of my Grandfather who I inherited the boat from. Many great memories in the boat!

Motor issues

I have tried most of the suggestions. Installed a filter in line. Took the plug out of the float bowl and what drained out didn't seem bad. I went out and picked up some Sea Foam and added to the fuel tank and have gone out and run the motor a couple of times to get some of it run through. Probably ...

Ground up bowfishing boat build

Robin, I seem to run into you on multiple sites. First on bowsite and now here on tinboats. Sounds like things are going well for you with the videos. We haven't seen each other since back in the Gateway Bowhunter days but keep bumping into one another in cyberspace. I hope all is well with you and ...

Motor issues

I just got my boat finished and took it out for a couple of hours Sunday. After having a little trouble starting it ran a little rough for a few minutes. Thought maybe bad gas still in carb. It then started to run great for quite a while. So I thought it had run through and was in the fresh gas. Wel...

MoBowhunter's New old boat

I got my grandfather's old boat this spring. With all of the built in memories in that boat I decided to breath some new life into it and modify it to suit my needs. This website is full of great ideas and I used many of them in rebuilding my boat. It is not as professionally done as some but I am h...

Impeller replacement

I am curious as to how difficult it is to replace an impeller? It is on a 1990 30hp Evinrude. Model #E30-ELES. Was getting things ready to go for the season and was having a tough time getting the motor to start but water was coming outof the tube. When I finally got the motor to kick in all of a su...

Fastening framework

What is the best way to fasten the framework for my deck to the floor? I have an older Lowe 1648 from back in the 80's. It has an aluminum sheet floor in it so the ribs aren't exposed on the floor. They are up the sides though. I am just getting ready to start on redoing the boat so any expertise or...

What pays your bills?

You have hit upon one of my other favorite hobbies, drinking beer. Maybe we can get together for one or ten sometime after the holidays.

What pays your bills?

I am a Sales Rep for a wholesale distributor of Hunting, Fishing, Marine, and Camping products. Marine products are a new line for us but should come in handy as I redo the boat that I just inherited. That and advice from guys on this site will be very useful.

Is the transom measured at the top or bottom? It makes a difference between max rating of 40 H.P to a rating of 70 H.P. Please advise. Thank you, Matt
