I need to vent a little

I just spent a couple days hitting up all the auto-parts stores in my city, along with tractor supply and a couple of lawnmower repair shops with a fuel petcock in hand. My ??? to them all was "Do you know what this is?" Favorite answer given at all of them was "I have no idea". I finally got to an ...

Plastic Gas Tanks

I am not sure how this thread went from my unventable fuel tank to gas with ethanol. But it is true that mixed fuel will do damage to outboards especially the older ones. If you have a smart phone there is an app available titled "Pure Gas" which lists stations that sell gasoline with no ethanol ad...

Trailer Rebuild: Winch Hook problems with Jon Boat

You could always put a SS U-Bolt on the bow for your winch hook to connect to.. Works pretty good for me. I just added a a small backing plate ahead of the nuts on the inside along with 3M-5200 inside and outside.

*****HOW MUCH FOAM DO I NEED*****

im not replacing any foam, I am just adding some underneath the flooring I will be doing. I used the Pink insulation foam under my floor, to make up for what I took out when removing my center bench. Will it be enough to float my boat if swamped? So far I haven't had to find out and hopefully I won...

What is it you've got for a tester? Haven't heard of much being used on simple old outboards besides a multi-meter and maybe a timing gun. Not sure off the top of my head, I'll have to go out to the shop tomorrow and get that info. There are some great You-tube videos put up by a technician from Hu...

Matching the color scheme of the seats to the boat to the truck was a nice touch. Does the motor fire at all? Thank you onthewater.. Unfortunately the motor still isn't firing up YET. But I did find a replacement coil and spark plug wire on SearsPartsDirect. I bought a tester that says the problem ...

Boat came out real nice Y_J, good job. How's that motor coming along? Thanks so much Sum.. the motor still isn't working. I put new plug, points, and condenser in it but didn't do a darn bit of good, so now I'm thinking of tracking down a new coil for it. Bought a new spark plug tester today so I c...

Man ain't that the truth. I got to say, that I am pretty proud of how she turned out compared to what I started with.
