Anybody here ever converted a bench seat into a livewell?

Home Depot sells aquarium sealant. Ya know, for pet fish tanks. It's non-toxic and FDA approved.

I got my full camper enclosure done.

This is the first mod to my new SeaArk 2072. It's a full camper enclosure that will allow me to go boating when it's 35 degrees outside! All the pieces zipper off so I can use it when needed and take it off when not. It's not unusual for me to have to go 10 miles or so to get to where I'm going. It ...

Finally got my new boat

It took 4 months to get this thing made. SeaArk is totally backed up with military orders or something. It's a SeaArk 2072 MVJT tunnel jet with a 115/80 Yamaha Jet drive on the back. I tried to get a 150/105 but SeaArk refused because the boat is rated for 90 max. I added a front mount windshield to...

Outboard Jet - is it freeze proof when tilted out?

Hello, This might sound like a stupid question but on an outboard jet does the cooling system drain out completely when the motor is tilted out of the water? Can any water get trapped in the jet portion of the motor or someplace else when tilted all the way out? The reason I'm asking is because I wo...

97 SeaArk 1872 Build

I'm no fuel tank expert but I'm thinking you may need a fuel tank switch. Invariably, one tank will be easier to suck from than the other and will drain quicker. Of course, it won't matter if you keep plenty of gas in them.

Rubber mat in between ribs

There is a company called SeaDek Marine Products that make very cool mats for boats. They even have camo which is cool. Of course it's expensive, but it's made for boats and has a self stick back so you can just stick it down. I plan to get some for the bench seats of my SeaArk. https://www.seadek.c...

Boat nose plowing water

I got this off Specialty Mfg. Co. website. They made your jet drive. It shows the angle and location the drive was designed to be used. The foot should be angled as shown to produce the RAM effect. The forward motion helps force the water up the drive, reducing cavitation. Depending on your hull des...

synthetic mix is it any good

I have a 2-cycle Stihl weed-wacker and if you use full synthetic oil with it they double the warranty. I don't know if it's better or not but they seem to think so.

Punch for removing jet grates?

A threaded rod works good for pounding them out all the way. When replacing the rods coat them with marine wheel bearing grease so they don't seize up in there. They should probably be taken out and put back in once a year as a preventative measure.

GoPro Camera - life expectancy ??

The GoPro is a video camera mainly, not a point-and-shoot camera. It doesn't have a screen on the back and no viewfinder. There are plenty of waterproof point-and-shoot cameras on the market for under $200. Check out DP Review. They did a waterproof camera shoot-out a while back.

Jet guys - please translate

I've never seen one like that, so small. I think the guy was going for a Northwest Jetboat look crossed with a work-boat look. It might be a good foul-weather boat with that cabin. How much does he want for it?

60's Sportsman runabout

It's coming along great. I love boats that have the windshield all the way in the front. Very few new boats have this design which is a shame. It's real nice when the temp drops and you still want to go boating. You won't freeze to death from the wind when going fast. I would recommend using ...

It's nice to know someone who can weld aluminum. Knowing someone who has his own shop is even better. I'd be thinking up all kinds of mods and enhancements.

2072 MVJT SeaARk motor

You guys make a lot of sense. I'm going to call the dealer up today and tell him to try and get the 150/105 put on there. Hopefully SeaArk will do it. The boat is rated for 13 people or 1750# which is nuts! I won't have that much weight in there, but I may get half that, so the extra HP will help. I...

The boat will have flotation pods on it too. Shouldn't that increase it's capabilities?
