I love the way those bronzebacks look. Wish I had somewhere close to get into some, I'd have to drive several hours to find any. Seems the only thing I can catch lately are white bass or hybrids (can't tell difference).

I got one for christmas last year. I like it Ok. Keep in mind I fish tournaments so rod weight is a big deal when you cast alot. Having said that the tourney special rods are a little heavy to me but have decent sensitivity. The reel is decent. Takes some fine tuning to get it right or it will lash ...

Lipless cranks are the bomb. I do all of the above. I also like to sweep my rod to one side and reel back to the bait. This gives it a dying shad look when it flutters down a bit before taking off again. They will crush it on the fall and when you pick it back up, good stuff. This is a really versat...
Oddly enough it is in the wasp family but called a bold faced hornet. Hornets are usually solitary. Their sting is somethin else, one got me the other day in the back of the head cutting grass. Their larva make awesome fishbait as do most wasp larva just a little tricky to get em.

If you plan on fishing any HP restricted waters, I'd go for the 9.8. If not, I'd do the Honda for sure. If any of you GA boys don't mind ridin' in a glass boat on Oconee or Sinclair and hunting some of the green fish give me shout.
It never ceases to amaze me what folks do sometimes. My favorites are the one that swim or fish right on top of or next to the very same sign prohibiting such behavior (really awesome when they are doing where there is a engraved sign). I usually just woop on up and back her down, almost got some cl...
I have had to make that fact know to quite a few lakefront land owners, citing to them that they had to get a permit to build the dock and the water under it not theirs. Now I have seen some anglers hit the docks and the boats tied to them (fished as coangler with a guy who hit like 5 or boats, I wi...
We got some folks around her that do that. I see both sides of the coin, but there's no sense in the way some act. We had a dude down here, a preacher mind you, that just came out and shot some boys fishin his dock. I try not to get in a p***ing contest with these kinda people cause they won't liste...

Just did some research into "pole fishing". It's kinda like fishing with a cane pole on steriods. They use a ridiculosly long pole with at length of line attached on the end. The floats quite large are very light and slender. I can see how this happend with the shape of their floats and the length o...

Jim check out some of the guide service stuff on the internet. I know they don't get very big in south FL but they are there in good numbers. I didn't have time to hit the water on my last trip to Ft. Lauderdale, but did talk to some locals who fish for them. They said the canals there in Lauderdale...
