The part numbers below are the required transducer.
XHS 6 16 or 7100221
I found it cheaper under the first number when I was searching ebay for it.

I was surprised to see your motor took the QL77JC4 plugs. I thought it was the same part number as my motor. However I looked it up and mine calls for L77JC4. Do you know the difference? I also run my motor at WOT the majority of the time. Is it possible for me to upgrade to those plugs and/or where...

I found the transducer at a local marine store for about 50 bucks. Sometimes they come up on ebay, that would be a lot cheaper

Then I should be allowed to have more than one rod in the water at a time................... In Mass you are allowed to have 2. We have this convo going on another site I am on, the way I read the law here in Mass this would also be legal. Mass laws More than two hooks for fishing or more than five...

Kudos to you, this is very nice of you to offer up [-o< I am sorry to be the barer of bad news. I do want to let you and who ever receives this that you will need to buy a new transducer. I had this HB unit as well as another slightly newer model. They both used the same transducer, of which I had 2...

I don't know how much smoke you are getting but mine smokes a lot more on start-up but usually cleans up within a minute. Wouldn't the bad piston rings shown up on the compression check, if that was the problem?

Finding out who owns a piece of land?

Here in Mass each town has its own Assessor. The Assessor has the town property plans and owners information, it's all public knowledge.

Kinda sounds like my first trial run. Motor ran great on a stand at home, I think we dislodged crud when mounting it to the boat. Although mine wouldn't even start the first time at the lake. #-o
I can only imagine what you were thinking when the boat turned the wrong way. :LOL2:

Marine Plywood.... How bad?

I see your other post now. They are different but I bet they go together similarly. One tip if you do replace the rear carpet. Butt to butt seams are more easily hidden on inside corners.

Marine Plywood.... How bad?

You are correct, you will NOT be able to get the rear deck apart with the carpet on. Also if the PO used a quality glue you are probably going to have a tough time removing the carpet in a reusable piece. If recarpeting is not in the cards, the only thing I can suggest trying to remove as much as yo...

Its getting close to time to winterize mine as well. I also store mine in an unheated/uninsulated garage. I plan to run the motor out of fuel and fog the carbs and the cylinders. Make sure to drain all the water out of it. You shouldn't need antifreeze if you make sure to drain the water. Replace th...
