next time you smoke a pork butt,rest it inside a paper grocery bag.a buddy showed me that and i was sceptical at first,but damn it made a difference,now i do it with my ribs as well.

maybe a week to a week and a half before the interior lakes start to ice off.got the camper on,boats all set to go almost,just have to replace the prop i mangled last week river fishing for cutthroats.no idea what i hit.didn't even feel it.put a nice chip and bend in one of the blades :oops:. guess ...

those cement/rebar anchors work ok for the budget minded.i used them for years.i had a d ring on the end of my anchor line and just clipped it to the rebar,add extra anchors as needed.super cheap,i used to get everything from work, cost me $0.00.

nice.i have a giant brisket and a porkbutt waiting for the next family bbq.i do the meat and all the kids bring the sides(except for the barbecued baked beans,that's all me).it's epic gluttony at it's finest.now if i could only get them to stop drinking all my booze and bring their own...

we use those up here on the fraser river when we fish sturgeon.it's the only type that will hold the boat when you hook into anything over 8 ft. for me it depends on the flow and what section of river i'm fishing.late spring after freshet it's still ripping pretty fast. the lower fraser has more bottom junk and a slow flow and is also tidal,the upper sections have more sand and rock and faster flow.i use more cable ties on the rode depending...

what if you live in a townhouse and need it to fit in the garage with the boat/motor trailer? with room for the the wifes precious mazda? then it has to be less than 21 ft. all in and comfortable enough to spend the whole day on.obviously it's an alumacraft escape 145 sc. no brainer. :LOL2:

if you're not a big man and plan on carrying the boat in the back of your truck without alot of gear and hand launching without a ramp, 1436 should be ok for a starter boat for small lakes.
