capping aluminum boat with fiberglass

if you are going to add some framing support under the deck I don't see any problems with strength or durability. Did you check your local boating regulations to see if there are any restrictions on not having a grab rail or gunwale?

1989 Force 50HP Not Working

that's a good start. My advice ...be methodical in your approach so as to not produce redundant tests and get your hands on the repair manual. Make a plan and focus on one circuit at a time. Start with the kill switch, ignition, starter and so on. Good luck

I have a Starcraft 1860 (18' 6") with a 75. It will run at 35-40 mph with a full load. I think both of your choices are paired well. What types of fishing will it be used for?

mounted mine to the back flotation block so I could access it from the battery hatch and it wouldn't come into contact with anything flammable. These battery chargers can get hot

garmin fish finder question

is it through hull or shoot through hull? Shoot through transducer is just glued to the bottom inside the boat. The through hull requires that you drill a hole through the hull. If this is the case make sure you use a good sealant like 3M 5200 or 4200

try using a siphon tube to move the wine from the fermenting buckets, it works great. I make beer with my brothers and we use a siphon when moving from primary ferment-->secondary ferment-->bottling bucket. The beer comes out nice and clear after the secondary

Jig fishing help - what size rod and line to use?

St Croix Mojo 7' Heavy Fast (MBC70HF) and a Revo SX 7.1:1 spooled with 12# flouro. Can't overstate the fact that you need to set the hook as poolie said. This is especially true with smallies; they usually run straight at you and come unbuttoned easily once they break the surface...set hard and reel...
