TinBoats.net Box Pass #6

Depending on how much stuff we col...

798c SI or 898C SI as console companion for 898c DI at bow?

Where are you mounting it, on the transom? I'm looking real hard at putting this one, a DI unit, on the trolling motor. as I'll be drop shotting directly between the boat and want to watch my bait. hmmm, don't know anything about mounting one there...just seems like your "picture" would get hosed u...

bildge pumps - how many have them -

I carry a 500 gph in one of my storage compartments along with an attached hose and a lighter plug for power. Used it a couple of times when I've done something stupid.

I also use it to fill and empty the live well

Aluminum Boat Wanted

Its not exactly what you want, but I have a BassTracker 1542 mod-v that I've stripped completely down. I tore out everything and its currently sitting as a bare hull. There were a few cracks that I had professionally welded. Here is a pic I took during the tear down process. Its located in Glenmoor...

Reel question.

I am learning to cast with a baitcaster too. What I did was cast out some line with a practice plug on it. I then took a piece of splicing tape and wrapped it around the remaining line. I then reeled up the line that was out. Now when casting I am limited in distance buy it is much easier to get the...

can i leave my batteries in.

If I remember right a charged battery will not freeze. With it being on the charger and you using it over the winter I would say you'll be fine. I have cars that sit out all winter with the batteries in them, one I don't even keep a battery tender on, I will give it a full charge before winter sets ...

Fish Finder Transducer mounting - Stern Saver?

:WELCOME: I made my own out of cutting boards, glued 2 of them together so I would have the thickness I desired. Used 2 SS bolts to mount it to the transom using 3M 5200 to seal the edges and bolt holes. I used SS sheet metal screws to mount the transducer bracket to the board. Works well and I have...
