    Here's a mod that's rather interesting.

Oh geeze... I didn't think about electric only lakes! In that case, the trolling motors would be better than rowing

    Here's a mod that's rather interesting.

The tent idea - awesome! The sailboat idea - probably not functional. The dual electric trolling motors - #-o just get a gas outboard for crying out loud!

    Aluminum angle pricing.

That is a little expensive! Browse around for some local machine shops. My dad is an inspector at a machine shop and that's my connection for aluminum. They get it in bulk so it's cheap, and they often have a lot of excess on hand. You can also ask if you can buy some if they have it in...

How do I replace this Transom?

Once you chisel out the rivets and get the new wood cut out and routered, countersink the holes, put a gob of silicone in and a little around them, and cap each hole with a washer, and shove the bolts through. You get a perfect watertight seal around the washers, in the holes, and around the...

    Gran Torino Movie

I don't think the Torino in the movie was a real 428SCJ because if it was, it'd have the shaker scoop on it

    Gran Torino Movie

Yeah Eastwood and the Barber reminds me so much of my dad and my uncle... I've heard the "cheap pollack" insult way before I saw the movie!

Youtube video - Clean a perch in 10 seconds.

I saw that video... but I've never caught a perch big enough to keep... they're all 4" long #-o

    Racing & Quick Stuff

Man I love the Raptors - I took a bored, stroked, and cammed 660 Raptor for a ride :P I will never forget it. Then after I got off, my uncle, half-way drunk, gets on, dumps the clutch, and digs the sissy bar and muffler into the ground, stalling it. He stands the quad up vertically, and he's...

    Drunk Driving Test

That definitely sounds like some of the goofy crap that would happen up here in Michigan! My mom got a ticket for chucking a banana peel out her window on a dirt road, but yet my uncle's been driving without a license for 12 years and hasn't gotten caught... go figure

    Racing & Quick Stuff

You raced bikes in Michigan? wow there's like five months of good weather and it's all downhill after that lol! I mean a sub-forum more for boat racing and fast tinnies and such. Hey! New idea for a competition - fastest rowboat

I know this isn't very "Tin" of me, but...

Haha two more things I've never done - go fly fishing and fish on the ocean! I have kayaked and fished once in a river here in Michigan, and I got myself a big carp on the line. It took off down river and nearly rolled me over! I think it was a combination of being a cheap kayak, and my...

    Gran Torino Movie

I just saw Gran Torino yesterday - my top pick of the year! Clint reminds me of a lot of my relatives!

    Racing & Quick Stuff

I know I've been posting on this site for at most a week, but it's apparent that there's quite a bit of interest in racing and going fast. I think it'd be cool to see a sub-forum for those kind of things!

    Painting my tin

I thought about painting his boat in lacquer but a few pints of lacquer, a few pints of primer, and a pint of hardener would cost about $95 so I can only imagine what polyurethane would cost! It would be worth it though because it's so durable and looks good.

    Painting my tin

I did a spray-paint camo job on my buddy's 12' Meyers. We used 6 cans of primer, 6 cans of dark brown base coat, and 6 cans of assorted camo colors. It was a bit costly and took nearly two days to pull off, but it looked good. Problem with camo though, is that it's semi-gloss. So plan on...

I know this isn't very "Tin" of me, but...

That's nice work! I like the rod holders too! I'm not much of a kayaker so I wouldn't know, but isn't it a little tough keeping your balance while fighting a big size fish in that thing?

My 1968 Sea King and 1957 Merc Rig

Thanks! That's nice that there's more people out there driving around the old trucks - most of them are trailer queens. I really like the '68-'72 body styles.
