    DuckChaser's 1652 Alweld mod - fish/hunt

The weather did not allow me to get near as much done as I wanted this weekend. We got rain most of the day Saturday so I was unable to get the boat out of the garage. I got the motor hung and the floor in on Sunday though. I started on the back deck extension. I got my 2x2s coated with spar...

    Duracraft 2060 Remodel

That is a nice looking boat. I am in the process of fixing up my fishing/duck boat. Are you dead set on using Grizzly Grip?

    Sleep study

It runs in our family. My grandma and my uncle have it. I am not over weight over anything, just unlucky. Out of 3 kids I am the one to get it. :? The CPAP can be a big help!

    Sleep study

I discovered I had sleep apnea when I was 19. That was 5 years ago. I still use my CPAP when I don't fall asleep with out putting it on. I was like Jim at first, but it got better as time went along. I hope it helps you out because I know what it is like having sleep apnea. Good luck.

    DuckChaser's 1652 Alweld mod - fish/hunt

I didn't have as much time this weekend as I wanted. I cut a hole for the bildge and installed the hose. I started working on the floor, but I still have a little fine tuning to do. I also got a new navigation light and got it installed. Saturday after I got through with some family things, I...

Thanks bigwave! She is getting big and loves to get into things. I always wanted a dog and the time was right so I went ahead and got her. The same situation with the boat.

Justin's 14' Catfish and Greenhead Slayer

That sounds like it will work out great. The reason I was asking is because you mentioned putting a trolling motor on. I am not sure where you duck hunt, but a trolling motor comes in handy sometimes when putting out/picking up deks. I know some people who will not put them on their duck boats...

Nice work on the boat. Your paint job looks pretty good. What type of motor if any are you going to put on it?

Your boat is looking good. I too went with Parkers paint. To me it is a very good product. I am looking forward to seeing some pictures.

    DuckChaser's 1652 Alweld mod - fish/hunt

I have been doing a few things here and there this week. I wired up the TM plug that I bought. I also order a new butt seat for the front. I have not got as much accomplished this week because my new companion has been keeping me busy. I plan on getting the motor hung, wiring up the running and...

Thanks! I have been thinking about it and I believe I am going to hinge it. It will be easier in the long run. I noticed another post that had some vents that I am going to install. My batteries will be located in between the two seats so they should have plenty of air. Thanks for the suggestions.

    DuckChaser's 1652 Alweld mod - fish/hunt

Well I got the boat painted this weekend. I will upload a few pictures later. I have a question for you guys. I am looking at making my portable gas tank semi permanent. I want to extend my back deck to cover it. Here is the question part, do they make a filler neck for the portable gas cans? I...

Voyager 16ft jon boat mod, here we go right now! *New Pics

That is pretty much what I am talking about. You don't want the transition from paint to bare metal to be seen. So if you make the transition gradual, it makes it hardered to see.

I personally used JB Weld to patch holes in my boat. I sanded it down and painted them. They were mainly rivet holes through the ribs and in the console. I have heard the best thing to do below the water line is put 5200 on a SS bolt. If you don't want to see the bolt heads then the JB Weld...

    1981 Fisher 16' Modified V with a 1981 60hp Evinrude

I have not heard anything about grizzly grip either. I researched a lot of product before going with hydro turf. I have not installed it yet, but I have heard nothing but good things about it. The PO of my boat installed a bed liner of some sort on my boat. If you ever decide that you don't like...

    DuckChaser's 1652 Alweld mod - fish/hunt

Thanks for the comments. The areas that I hunt are pretty open so the remote steer will be fine. I like the console. It may get in the way later, but for now I like it. I am going to model my blind after Beavertails blinds. They fold to one side when they are in travel mode. That way I don't...

    DuckChaser's 1652 Alweld mod - fish/hunt

Thanks! Here is a link to where I got my hydro turf: https://hydroturf.com/products/Closeouts_and_Specials/Sheets_of_Turf I got the tan. I called up there to ask about it. They were really helpful. The guy told me it would fade to a grey color. Grey was my second option so I have no problem...
