Got a block, help me out.

I can't think of how to resolve this. I'm borrowing part of a photo from another thread, my apologies and thanks to pbw. My bow looks like this boat's. I have a new Minn Kota transom mount that I'd like to be able to mount up front to use from the deck seat. What I can't figure out is a good...

    Lowe 1436

Well, I should have taken some before photos and didn't. I posted some in transition photos I took with the cell phone a week or so ago. But with the weather warming up I"m calling it quits for this year and heading out fishing. 1 thing I wish I'd have made time to do is to paint the hull. I...

    Couple of quick questions

Picked up an early 60's Evinrude 6 horse. It was pumping water okay when we test fired it before I bought it. Questions of the moment are: (a) Can I use any good 2 cycle oil in this old motor? (b) What's the correct mix ratio? And (c) Do I need to add a lead additive to the mix? Thanks guys.

    Old Lowe, 1436

So I've been asking questions and this evening I finally took a few bad photos with the cell phone. Working on this at my brother's farm, I never have the camera with me. Primed the interior today, think that's all I'm going to paint this year. Get it up on saw horses next winter. This thing...

    Noob 'level' question

Okay, 'nuther noob question. On my old Lowe, I have the back floor cut and ready to work on the front deck. Because it's a narrow boat, I wanted to keep the deck fairly low for stability. Front end really ramps up, how do I tell what 'level' is? My thinking is to run the deck using the gunnel...

    Quick screw question

What's the best screw to use when screwing into my boat? Don't want a reaction down the road. I figured aluminum screws, but I'm having a little problem finding them. Not sure what steel will do.

    Question about painting

My old Lowe has a fairly decent, although faded, paint on it. I'd like to spruce it up and was wondering if it's acceptable to use a sander to rough up the old paint, clean it off good with a tack cloth and alcohol, and then apply the paint without priming. It's primed and painted now, it...

    Dumb noob question

When you say a boat is a 1446 or whatever, that's not the model, right? I'm assuming that boat would be 14' long and 46" across.... what? The beam? Transom? bottom width? Sorry, dumb I know.

    Trailer help

Totally new to adapting a trailer, but the one under the old boat Lowe I bought last year is in bad shape. THe trailer I have has a center roller at the rear and another towards the front. And then 2 short bunks that, when the boat is off it. flap in the breeze. What I'd like to do is to do is...
