I have a 1968 Rich Line Guides Choice with a 1972 Evinrude 9.5hp. The best I can run is 7.8mph (GPS). I would like to able to run about 20mph + or-max. The total load (sans motor) is about 860lbs--people & gear. Don't know if a 15hp would work or if I should look for a 25hp. HELP! Mike

Need to replace the transom on my 69 Rich Line Model 15. The existing fasteners are non stainless carriage bolts. I know to use stainless. Is the grade 18-8 sold by Fastenal ok for this? What type fastener, carriage, hex, round? Washers? More sources? Suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Mike
