Transom reinforcement on jon boat
Hey guys, Just bought a new Lowe 1648 MT and I'll be using a 1996 Evinrude 25HP outboard. Should I reinforce the transom? If so, with what? Shouldn't the stock transom be enough since I'm under the max of 35HP?

Do I really need a reverse??
I had a 3HP on a 1236 jon boat. The motor didn't have a reverse, so I bought a cheap used trolling motor for reverse.

G3's are quality...just make sure that boat is .100 or thicker because at 30+mph you'll do some damage if you hit something

MY NEW BOAT!!! (UPDATE : Few more additions) LOWE 1648MT
I like the rubber mat idea….but don't they smell really bad, especially in the summer sun? And do they heat up, as I like to be barefoot in my boat?
