Thank you for the advice! I was only using one battery. So ill try two batteries and see how that works. Hopefully that will also clear up my sonar and down scan picture (when it was working).

I took my Lowrance elite 5 HDI out on the lake for the first time today and.... After 4 hours of running the finder and trolling motor the screen went white. I still had navigation and overlying data like depth temp and speed. But my down scan and sonar wouldn't show anything but a blank white...

I just got my new Elite-5 HDI in UPS from Cabelas. I'm kinda worried though because it didn't seem packed very well... It still looked to be new so I didn't let that bother me. It wasn't until I was going to install it that I noticed the power cord was only 3' long! What the heck am I suppose...

And if you could only have one which would it be?
