Just built this, thought you guys might like to see. Some of the thing I read about this unit said that they last about two years due to weather exposure, so I made the mount at an angle with plexiglass 2" up off of the panel. Cargo strapped down to the top of my outboard.

2014 Alumacraft with a 1956 Johnson Seahorse 15HP tiller handle, myself 195lbs with a little bit of gear, 20.6MPH on glassy water. Pretty dang good for a motor that old!
