    Fly fishing

I just went for the first time last week while camping on the lower mountain fork river in Oklahoma. Wow, I feel like I have been missing out. I caught one my first time out and three the next day. Sorry I didn't get a pic because I was wading without waders, nothing huge though just a couple...

I have wanted to try some of the gulp soft plastics but I have been hesitant due to the price. I think I will go buy some tomorrow to try. By the way, the name of you home town is a bit of a tongue twister. :D maybe its just my oklahoma twang that makes it that way. :D

    trailer too short

I recently bought and restored a 1970 duracraft. It is an 1870. It is crazy stable on the water, in fact I just took it on its maiden last nihgt. Sorry I'm at work can't post pics till tomorrow. My problem is the trailer is too short for the boat. The back of the frame stops 28" before the...

    Smart Tabs or Hydrofoil

I agree better to try it for the price rather than shell out the $$ for trim tabs.

    Smart Tabs or Hydrofoil

I'm not an expert but I thought the hydrofoil just helped you get on plane faster. I had one on an 18hp that was on my first tin (14') and it still porpoised a little at full throttle.

Hey MacGyver, what's your best on-the-water/at the lake fix?

:LOL2: yeah we fired it. That was in OIF 1 back in 2004. We fire a ton of rounds in the nine months I was there. We also hit a ton of IEDs (improvised explosive devices). At the time it didn't seem Like a big deal but looking back I guess it was a little risky. Remember the Marines are known...

Hey MacGyver, what's your best on-the-water/at the lake fix?

I know it doesn't count but we had to duct tape a tank round together once.

    Unregistered and Untitled in Louisiana

I don't know about louisiana but I just went through this in Oklahoma. I just explained that the boat didn't have a hull id number and was previosly unregistered. I had to have a bill of sale and the OK lake patrol to assign a HIN and then it was as easy as sending the paperwork in and waiting...
