What does the 12-6 mean? 12 poles? Which brand tacs are most people using?

Just got back from taking my girlfriend out for a ride with both of us sitting in rear seats top speed was 30 mph with a tiny tac reading of 2410 steady at full throttle. Still dont have any idea how much boat weighs.

I purchased a boat with a broken tachometer but not sure what to buy to replace it. I have a 1999 yamaha 60 2 stroke. Is there a difference between 2 stroke & 4 stroke tachs? Manusl says alternator puts out 12-6. Does this mesn i have 12 poles? Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure about weight. ive tried running just tabs without foil and foil without tabs and boat performs better with both on. Motor is in good condition and has good compression. Im working on getting pics up

Motor manual says top speed rpm should be 4500-5500
