Well my motor is going to have to wait. Wife decided we needed washer, dryer and new fridge. Just so happened to add up to $500 short of a new motor

Looking at buying a new Tohatsu 40 or 50 haven't decided on that yet. But my other decision is the 2 stroke or their 4 stoke? It's going on a 1652 and be used strictly on the rivers hunting with longoing trips (15-20miles)

The motor is to big for the boat. Now trade me my 30 for that 40. Haha

Anyone with any experience with Weld-Craft? Took my boat in yesterday to get a jackplate put on and motor serviced. After a few minutes with the owner at the boat shop and talked me into a 1652 open floor boat. To my disbelief they gave me $800 for my 1988 Lowe Big Jon.

I have a 2010 Nissan 30 hp 4 stroke EFI. With a stainless power tec prop and only 28 hours on it. All electric with internal battery. I'm thinking about upgrading to a 40 hp or maybe something I can build up. What kind of price should I ask?

I found where CMC has a 2 piece manual lift with 5" of adjustment with 1.5" of transom adjustment. They also have a single unit manual jackplates with 5" of travel. Sounds like one of those 2 is what I'll need

Another question. I read where most jack plates have 4" of raise. Will this bring my motor up to a sufficient height? I'm thinking I need the 4" offset. This boat will be used for running long stretches of rivers so I need good performance.
