    Tracker Jon Boat Mod

Hi Tony. I have a Lowe 1436 as do many other guys on here. I have a front deck and a middle floor and a rear deck as well. I am 250 lbs. as well and fish in front of the boat with no problem. Before you go and spend more money on the upgrade of a larger boat, please feel free to check out my...

    14ft jon boat

Hello and welcome. Yes. It does somewhat depend on the width of the boat. Mine is a 1436. I put a deck on the front and a floor in the middle and a back deck as well. It is pretty stable. Much better than I expected. I am a pretty big guy (#260) and it was fine with me up front. Please feel free...

Lowe 1436 Project Finally Finished! *New Pics!* 7/10/2010

Hello. Thanks. The livewell was a very affordable and easy project. I still use the gravity feed in the livewell but I have added an aeration circulation pump, aeration head (adjustable spray) and an aerator screen on the pumps intake to filter out debris. I placed the head on one end at the...

Lowe 1436 Project Finally Finished! *New Pics!* 7/10/2010

Finally have pics of my finished Jon Boat project! I have had the boat out once and it was stable and dry. It was even better balanced than I had hoped and expected. The only items that I still plan on buying are an extension handle for the outboard motor, a fishfinder for the front deck and a...

My 1436... or wait.. 1432 mod

I purchased a trolling motor bracket from Madisonville Marine in Tenn. A gentleman from this sight gave me the addy for them. Email them and tell them what you have. It is also adjustable. A few toggle bolts should hold it in place with no problem.

My 1436... or wait.. 1432 mod

I didn't use the pink or blue insulation foam because of cost. I went with the regular old white styrofoam sheets. I purchased a couple of sheets for something like $6. It came in sheets of 10 ft. long by 2 ft. wide. It also comes in different sizes and thickness. I purchased mine at Menards...

Oh, as for the livewell. I kept my gravity fed livewell and added an areation system to mine so I could fish tournaments. Please feel free to view my pics. I hope they might help. I look forward to seeing pics of your progress.

I agree with Nussy. I'd stick with plywood. You can use numerous products to waterproof the plywood and it will last for many years if it's not sitting outside uncovered. The 2x6 supports are a little overkill. I have a 1436 Lowe jon and used 2x4 supports along with a plywood deck. Most of the...

Lol! Boy don't I know it! If you drop or get any of it on anything, you'd better make sure you get it cleaned up asap! If it dries on your hands it is there for quite a while. lol

Lowe 1436 Project Finally Finished! *New Pics!* 7/10/2010

They make several types of it for different applications. I can't remember of hand which one I used but it was one made for outdoor projects like decks, etc... and could be used directly on metal, including aluminum. I had actually talked with a gentleman who used it for almost all of his...

Lowe 1436 Project Finally Finished! *New Pics!* 7/10/2010

I did wrap the carpet around the edges of the deck. I did not use any screws at all. I fastened the rear deck down by using Liquid Nails. I also installed the seat post base first so I could carpet over it to give the back deck a cleaner more professional look.
