I have a 1987 gamefisher tin boat with a v hull and a 16 " transom. what size trolling motor should I buy and shaft length ? I am looking at a minn kota 40- 45lb 12v motor with a 36" shaft is this going to be enought motor? I will fish with 2 people on board 95% of the time. thanks for the help

I tried calling haswing in ca and no answer or phone answer machine. so I called a distributor for them and was told that they will not be distribution anything for them in the future as they think they might be going out of business . this is just to let everybody know what I found out today .

thanks for your comments , I do not know much about these 4 stroke outboards as I was brought up on 2 strokes and name brands back then like mercury ,Evinrude , Johnson .I would like to here more about these newer outboards, I am glad to here you tohatsu is treating you fine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can anybody recommend a 15hp outboard that is good . I looked online at tohatsu , mercury, evinrude , Yamaha, and Suzuki. it seems the Yamaha and evinrude are carb motors if that is bad or good?it looks like several of the companys are made in the same factory in japan for what I see online but...
