That's what I was thinking, my hangup though is that if the clutch dog is that worn, the lugs on the gears have to be very worn also....so if I buy a new dog and put a seal kit on it...are the gears worn enough to continue slipping?

Hmm. Definitely don't have that.

Just a brief update...I filled the lower unit with lower unit lube and it leaks oil around the propeller shaft. So, I'm pretty confident that is the seal that is bad.

Hey folks, as you can see in the top photo it looks like the rear bench seat has some supports removed. There is a small crack in the bench where it rivets to the hull....what would you guys do to brace that area? There are a couple pulled rivets and the next bench seat up also has a few pulled...
