So i picked up a 1978 Valco 14" it is rated for a 20HP motor and the transom is 15". I am looking at a new 9.9 probably Tohatsu. That motor weighs 95lbs. Am i going to be ok with that weight? The boat will be used both lake and inland salt water. Thanks

Pardon the dumb question, but.... i have an older Valco U14. The drain plug hole is non-threaded, just under an inch 0.92". Should i buy a 1" or 7/8" plug? Thanks
