Ho Ho Ho! What did you get for Christmas?

My spouse got me a Garmin Striker Vivid fish finder, a portable miter saw, and gunnel rails with attachments. Can’t wait for spring!

    Taking Up the Slack?

I was fortunate enough to have purchased a TON of corrugated roofing panels a while back. Paneled 3 large roofs and still have about 20 10’ left! 👍

    Taking Up the Slack?

Exactly! We also made corner brackets and we have two 10’x20’ that are going on 8 years. Instead of replacing roof tarp we add a new one every year or 2 as needed. Haven’t damaged it with the snow rake yet! Like you (unless I win the lottery) I’d like to make it permanent

    Taking Up the Slack?

We did the shrink wrap one year. To do our Tracker Targa 18’ it was $250. It worked as it was supposed to. Lots of garbage come spring and an expense we didn’t want to repeat yearly.Decided to beef up our portable car canopy for future years.

    Taking Up the Slack?

We’ve been using portable car canopies for 15 years. After loosing 2 during snowy months, we finally figured out how to keep them standing. 1) put corner bracing in all 4 corners. We’ve purchased some with pipe clamp brackets and we’ve made our own by cutting pipe, hammering ends flat, and...

    Taking Up the Slack?

Before we got our 10’x20’ portable carport we ran a rope between two trees, parked the boat under that and secured tarps over it. Kept it dry enough that airflow dried out what did get in the ends.

    Paint Stripper ?

This sounds awesome, I’ll have to remember about drainage if I use Gator Glide. 2 questions: did you teach yourself to weld? What are your catches on the rear to prevent floating off?

7 days cure time sounds like a bit of well deserved down time. My arthritic hands would appreciate it!

How many of you enjoy a "Beater Boat?"

Ok, I have to fess up; I’m a 66 year old mom and grandmother who finally, in the last few years, has been able to piddle and fiddle to my heart’s content, and I appreciate the metal info, my ignorance is showing,I didn’t know. So, where aluminum rivets won’t work use ss with marine anti seize?

Here she is with 2 mods so far: deck for anchor winch and reinforcing the bow support stand. This trailer is pretty wimpy and that thing was twisting with every bump on the road.

Beauty! Mine won’t look like that. 1) I’m an “8-10” of all trades and 2) I get impatient and usually end up with “ good enough”. I do reduce-reuse-and recycle so there’s at least that. 😊
