    PVC guide-ons

I think for as cheap as this would be, I'm willing to give it a go. I use a Honda CRV to tow my boat and its hard as heck to see where the back of the trailer is between the small rear window, full size spare mounted on the back hatch, and a carseat in the backseat. Thanks for the idea!

    PVC guide-ons

This seems like a great idea. How strong is it? Id be worried about the wind stressing it at the bend. I remember there being two different strengths of PVC (one is rated for a higher pressure and more solid I think?) Do you know what kind you used?

    Metal info tag on transom

No idea if this has a name or not, but in the process of replacing my transom I have noticed that the metal tag that is attached to the old transom is mostly illegible. This tag lists the maximum capacity, weight, and horsepower limit of the boat. I would assume for safety reasons this should...

    How many of you recycle?

I take a load about that size to the scrap yard about once or twice a year. My mother in law and brother in law both keep their cans but dont want to bother taking them there so I end up getting all of them. I deffinately make my gas money for the trip and then some. :)

Spray paint. The aerosol stuff in a can you can buy just about anywhere.

    Transom Repair 16' Sea Nymph

Well I was finally able to start working on this again. It took a lot of fiddling with my cuts to get everything just how I wanted but I have the transom cut and glued up now. Once the glue sets up, I'll drill my holes and start sealing the whole thing. Hope to have everything done and put...

Honda CR-V pulling a Tin Boat?

I have a 16' V bottom Sea Nymph. Im not sure of the weight but as said earlier, I notice that I have something behind me but it pulls just fine. I have an '05 CRV with the same towing capacity.

    Transom Repair 16' Sea Nymph

I got started today taking out the old transom. Boy am I glad I did! I'm very surprised the motor was staying on the boat.. :LOL2: After getting the old wood out, I saw many places where my thumb would push straight through the wood so it was more than time for it to be replaced. Is it...

    Transom Repair 16' Sea Nymph

It had a 30hp Chrysler on it originally I was told which was replaced with this 9.9 to run on all the lakes around us with HP restrictions. He bought the longshaft because he didn't feel the original motor's prop was low enough to get full thrust? Not saying he knew much more than I about the...

    Transom Repair 16' Sea Nymph

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought the motor seemed a bit long and was going to ask about that but didnt want to slam the forum with ten million newbie questions at once! It had never even crossed my mind to make the transom taller to account for the engine.. #-o P.S. I paid 1200...

    Transom Repair 16' Sea Nymph

Just picked up a 1979 16' V hull Sea Nymph on Saturday. I had been looking on craigslist for a while and decided on the V hull for the extra space I would have later on once I convince my wife that we need to mod it. [-o< The motor, although it seems to be underpowered for this boat, runs...
