Make a ridge pole suported from your wood with upright pieces making a triangle for extra ridge support.

I'm still using the strap that came on the trailer though there are two points on the transom where it used to use stwo stern straps. I'll consider changing over once this strap goes bad.

It is physics, you are over powering the hull. As advised above, make sure you wear the tether as a full power run WILL toss you out. Keep to the moderate speeds and start looking for a smaller engine. I use an older Tohatsu 3.5 on my 14/48 to get along at 5mph and is enough to buck a headwind...

Since it has LED lighting, check the polarity. wiring error crossing + and - will not light LED's... otherwise it is a ground issue

That's 14.7 is the charging voltage. leave it sit -or- apply a small load and it will read the actual voltage of a fully charged battery...12.7v I can take the charger off and my multi-meter says 14.7 and just activating my digital volt meter on the battery box drops to 12/7

My 'Crapie Jon' had old lights that I saved when I stripped it. Had to replace the globe for the rear white light. got 'corncob' LED replacements for the old, burned out original bulbs. Worked great

Renting a porta-power hydraulic tool might push it out gently, they come with an assortment of various shaped caps to direct the force. I would be afraid of springing the rivets and it would require anchoring the boat so the ram can push on the metal instead of just jacking it upwards.
