i have never had a problem with overlap. just don't bother trying to coat completely over the old paint. I would just focus the self etching over the bare allum so the topcoat has something to grab a hold of. the new paint will grab fine to the old paint.

Rustolmem pro grade from home depo or lows is great stuff. Cheap, easy to get and holds well. Just make sure to use self etching primer if you take it down to bare metal or even on spots where the old paint rubbed off.

Aircraft Stripper is the best one I used. And I tried three different types. Plus one one hand wire brush green abrasive pads work great too.

I am getting ready to put down some steelflex this weekend and was wondering what you guys were using to mix up your steelflex in. I was thinking of premesuring out about 4oz of each part to make it a little easer. Just not sure what to put it in to mix and pour.

If it's not to late take back the zip strip and get a gallon of air craft remover. I tried to use zip strip and it did not do near as well as aircraft remover. Also grab a couple of stripping pads. These made life a lot easer.
